6 Series Convertible

I admit I was wrong. Awhile ago I said that the new BMW 6 Series coupe was the ugliest car I have ever seen. Well its the second ugliest as the 6 series convertible now has the top spot

The back end, I can live with for now (still hella weird to look at), but that Z4-esque front end has got to go.

Does anyone else see a frowning/sleepy face in that front end design.

Junkster, who is losing faith in BMW's direction.

Come on, ugliest car? I admit, it isn't great, but there are plenty of cars out there that look FAR worse than this. The Pontiac Aztek, Subaru Baja, Scion Xb, Honda Element, Honda Insight, new retro Ford Thunderbird, Chevy SSR, Infiniti FX35/45, etc.

Tough decision, this...

Or this...

I guess it would be a better statement if we said
"The oddest looking vehicle for it's price range?"

I don't know, there's probably alot of ugly cars out there in the world that we just don't know of.

Junkster, who wouldn't say the 7 the oddest car in it's class (The Lexus coupe gets that honor).

You'd be frowning too if you looked like that

Buff-Daddy while I agree that alot of those other cars are ugly as sin as well. I just expect so much more from BMW. And because my expectations of this car were so high its the biggest dissapointed of them all and should be treated as such.

I agree that it is a more expensive ugly car, but I am guessing that being behind the wheel is a little more satisfying than standing next to it. I don't judge cars until I see them in person. The new 5 looked better to me in person, but it is still just ok, not great, not terrible. My buddy test drove the 530 and said it was amazing, but still not good looking enough to buy. He is awaiting delivery or his Audi S4 and that should be fun!

Well I agree, although I don't buy ugly cars, So if I could afford a 6 series I'd be buying a MB Coupe instead.

As for the new 5, yes it looks better in person, but according to Car and Driver even the driving dynamics have suffered. They preffered the old 5 in every catergory excpet engine. I know Car and Driver is'nt the authority here but they are one of them and they love Bimmers. So when they say they don't like it BMW should be listening.

And I can't remember what mag it was that just tore apart the new X3. They said the ride was horrible. The genuinly hated it, which is saying alot.

Yes, even though I am a huge BMW fan, I think this X5 and 3-Series will be my last. Other companies are coming out with some pretty impressive products and the new BMW's are not to my liking. I still think the X5 is the best looking SUV on the market though. I think the RX330 is the best overall SUV for the money, but I prefer the look of the X5. I am sure Banlge will "f" that up in 2006 when it is due for a overhaul...
