55w hid low beam problem

I bought a set of ddm hid 5k for my low beams since my factory hid ballast burnt out and wasn't turning on my after market bulbs, only the passenger side turned on. Well anyways, I connected the kit, I cut and spliced a 9006 female harness to my factory harness to fit the ddm running a 9006 male harness. All and all went great, they fired up with no problem. Turned off my car to adjust the cut off line and passenger side started flickering, and I noticed my fogs were dimming down, so I get in the car to start it and it just flutters kind of like a dead battery, I take out my key completely and the car started working on its own, it turned its self on to acc mode, turn hazards would turn on and the motor cooling fan would turn on, it would keep doing this on and off until I disconnected the battery....not to sure what happened. Everything is connected right, no wires touching any metel or being displayed. I'm thinking I may need a hid relay harness or maybe the car can't handle the 55w hid as low beam being it's sending to many volts?

always always always always always always install a relay harness.

it protects the electrical system of the car and it helps to power the bulbs.
2 very good reasons to ALWAYS run a relay harness.

I would have but I just can't see my self spending one hundred something odd dollars on one used ballast.

And also because I wanted to run a brighter light and the 55w vs 35w is a world of a difference brighter.

Get a relay kit to protect your original headlight circuit.. You may have just drained your battery so may want to charge it in the mean time.

Hopefully adding the relay harness will prevent my car from acting haywire again...it had a mind of its own.

Problem had been fixed.
The problem was the car had a aftermarket remote start system and it started going haywire so I yanked all that out and everything is good as new.
You can run a 55w aftermarket hid system to your car with no problems, your just going to have to cut tour stock harness and add a pigtail that matches the hid harness.
