40k miles and still going strong...

well I performed my 40k service this weekend, everything has been running pretty well I just expected to find that my front brake pads needed replacing and was planning on replacing the front rotors cause a was getting some vibration at high speed braking.

well the good news is there is plenty left on my pads (I’m surprised with the spirited driving I do), both front and rear and after removing the pads and cleaning the rotors and pads the vibration has subsided.

I also switched from CAI to SRI and I have to say I think I like the switch. I feel like there is a little more power on the low end and the new sound is nice, I cant seem to keep my foot off the gas

I was also getting some rattling on the doors and narrowed it down to the small plastic inserts that are right on the inside of the door handle so I pulled them out and I put some friction tape on the back of them for a little padding and everything’s quiet now.

I hope the next 40k are as fun as the first.

Well that’s my story……

Good to hear!

I just turned 40K as well, so far so good! I hope I at least get another 200K out of the car before I have to make a switch. Oh and SRI does have such a great sound. I just installed my Injen, SRI this weekend...

mpg before Injen > mpg after Injen due to heavy foot syndrome... I feel like Pavlov's dog... Every time I hear that roar, I freak out, haha.

Yeah, pay attention to your seat heater back lighting. I'm at just over 48k and that light went out just after 40k miles or at least that I recongized.

Would you share your picture please?
Would like to see how they chop up the plastic tube and weld the metal tube...

I just had 40k last week....currently at 41,300 and just like everyone else mentioned, the two heated seated switch backlighting went out at around 38k. Dealer replaced no problem.

My 40k is fast approaching as well, I was wondering what the dealership charged you for the service?
