3rd brakelight housing not flush after tint job

Hi guys, I just got my windows tinted with Huper Optik tint and am really liking it. However, in my rearview mirror I can see light bleeding out from the backseat side of my 3rd tailight housing at night. Did I just fail to notice this before or did the tint shop screw up?

Also, when cars are behind me at night I now get multiple headlight reflections or glare from the defrost lines on the back window, is this normal for cars with tint?

Thanks,

D

Hi,

I just got 30% tints on my CG TSX. So it is totally normal to have multiple headlight reflections on the rear window?

Thanks.

You may try to reseat the brakelight housing, maybe they didnt snap it into place all of the way.

The effect may lessen over time if you just had the tint done since there is still moisture under the film. Run your defroster while youre in your car to help dry it. But because the film has to lay over the defroster lines on the glass, there will always be some differances in the rear view.

Post some pics of the Huper Optik! I almost chose that brand but ended up going with the 3M ColorStable in 35%. It's almost too dark, but I'm liking it (I just hope I don't get hassled for it).

Yea, there's a bit of moisture inside of the window/tint right now. Give it a few days to dry out and the distortion will get very minimal.
