I have driven both, and I am happy to own a S2000.

I totally concur. I was really under-whelmed after driving the 350Z. I didn't feel that extra 100+ ft-lbs of torque (153 in the S2000 versus 274 in the 350Z) like I expected. Furthermore the handling wasn't as crisp, and overall I just felt much less connected to the road. BTW, I drove the Performance model with the larger wheels and the 6 speed manual tranny.

What it comes down to is the S2000 is more of a track-type (edgy) performance car whereas the 350Z is more of a touring-type (cruising) performance car. Please note that I'm not saying the S2000 is no good for touring nor am I saying the 350Z would be no good on the track! Heck I've never even had my S2000 on a track, but it sure is a heck of a lot of fun to drive! Also note my experiences with the S2000 are based on the original 2.0 liter model not the newer, more "watered-down" model with the 2.2 liter engine (that by the way is only available in the North American market).
