2008 TSX

This price increases is also reflected on the www.acura.com

Is it safe to assume that there are no changes at all from 2007 since the price barely increased?
I checked out acura.com briefly (I AM at work....) and didn't notice any differences, although some parts of the TSX section still say 07, while others say 08. The colors do not appear to have changed either.

The MSRP on the 07 models will still be $28,760.00, Acura doesn't lower the sticker price when the model year changes. Dealers will need to move the remaining 07's to make room for the 08's so you should be able to get a better discount depending on how many they have left.

The only change from a 07 to 08 is just $100 bucks?
This might be only time Acura/Honda had 3 model years of the same car with no significant changes (just TPMS which was mandatory)?
The automotive press and TSX critics are going rag the hell out of us until the 09 hit the showrooms:
- dated design
- weak power train
- no fun to drive factor
- can get same or more luxury, power and value with the all new Camry/Altima/Saturn
- blah, blah, blah

Yet I'll bet my left testie is continues to sell ~2500 to 3000 units per month.
Dated? Subjective. The design doesn't get old IMO.
Weak PT - Been the case since day 1.
No Fun? - ?? Handles great for a FWD sedan
Same luxury and Value? Sure but who wants to drive a Camry?
The TSX was never the best at anything yet it managed to find its niche for 4 solid and likely 5 years. Can't argue with success.

Anybody notice that the price for non-nav went up $100, but the price for nav went up $200? More price gouging, or do you think that they've made some nav changes that warrant an additional price increase?

I played around a bit on the Acura website and the "interactive showroom" and I couldn't find any differences between the 2007 and the 2008 besides price.
Is this the case?

- push the open/close button on DVD player,
- remove old disk,
- insert new disk,
- push open/close button,
- and charge the customer .25 hrs of labor).

I was forced into buying a new car in February, and still chose a TSX over some all new models (Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, VW GLI/GTI) that all had torque-ier motors.
The TSX is plenty fun to drive and has a "best in class" manual transmission. (I have no sympathy for AT owners... )
And there aren't many cars that have the same feature package for that price (about $26.5K + TTL for non-navi cars at the time)

The Canadian dollar has appreciated so much over the last 18 months that people north of the border (excluding those in Alberta) have to be paying over $40,000 US, tax-in and on the road. Oh, and that's for non-navi.

Did anyone else notice that the Acura website is listing the 08 TSX with a 0-60mph speed in 6.6 seconds? Sounds very odd...

Mp3?
It looks like the CD changer is still not MP3-enabled for the 2008 model...what gives?? Shouldn't be that hard to implement, no? I don't want to buy a separate MP3 CD player that's going to take up unnecessary extra space near the steering wheel.
#35
my guess is they assume most people will use the aux. jack for an mp3 player. i just got mine yesterday (07 nighthawk black/nav) and love the care but would love that feature well. i am diggin the xm so far though. the key fob definitely needs work but that's such a small thing on an otherwise fantastic car.
When I was buying mine, I asked what changes there are on the '08, they literally said "none." Then again, they also told me there is no break in period on the car whatsoever, but from reading the manual and advice on this forum they seem to be way off on that one.

maybe they're gonna do an 2008.5 introduction and the regular '08s are just to get rid of surplus 2007, or the new turbo-charged, AWD, sea-worthy/flying version wasn't ready for production soon enough

I got one of the first batches of switchblade keys and I absolutely love it...100% worth the money and effort. It's great to be able to put my key in my pocket and not worry about it scratching up my cell phone (or anything else, for that matter).
