Hi Everyone ^^,
Since I got my tsx, I have been really taking care of it well. But, I can't say the same for my carpet mats. The front mats with the embroidered TSX, however, have gotten a bit dirty T.T. Do you guys have any advice on cleaning it up ?
Also, I want to get rubber mats for the car since I do not want it to get worse. Do you guys recommend getting the standard Acura TSX mats (which I found on ebay for like $100 instead of the regular $133 quoted on the Acura website) or would you recommend something like this link ? The one from ebay looks really nice since my car is midnight pearl in color. Also I planning to get the Acura TSX racing pedals from SuperComputers as well to make it all sexy ^^.
Any advice that you can give me, I will be really grateful to it ^^. Thank you all.

I suggest getting the all season floor mats from acura. Its rubber and it fits perfectly! It can be found for about $105 shipped.
No room in
I bought the all-season mats from Curry Acura, like frank said $105 shipped, came very fast and I love them. Flawless fit and they look great.

Same to that on the OEM all weather mats and I paid $105 shipped too lol. I found a couple sets selling for 65 shipped BNIB but I think they were bought or already ended in the auction on eBay. But yeah I would def suggest going the all weather Acura mats way, saves the headache from cleaning up the carpet.
Simply wash the all weather mats with some water and a brush and it gets all the dirt and grime off fast and it looks brand new again, drys really fast too. I wash mine when I clean up the car and let it air dry for about 15 mins in the sun and it's good to go. The carpet mats were a headache to get mud out of as I am actively outdoors with sports and what not so I always tracked in dirt.

Oh okay ^^, thank you for the advice. I will get the acura OEM all weather mats then.
What about cleaning up the current carpet mats? Can I just shampoo and air dry it?

Depending on how dirty it is you can prolly rub a lot of it out with a brush and hit out a lot of the crud with like a racket or something. If it's still obviously dirty you can try a damp cloth and clean it out. I think some ppl have used like a carpet cleaner on them but I suppose that may be overkill depending on how dirty your mats are. I just brushed and used a damp cloth to get all the mud and dirt out of my carpet mats and it worked fine for me.

I also got the acura all season mats from curry acura, overall very happy with them and they got me thru the winter without much mess in my car.
What exactly is midnight pearl?

I imagine it's the Royal Blue Pearl paint job? It's called midnight pearl on the NSX, I think.Originally Posted by 2K6TSX

I've got a spare set of all season mats that I need to get rid of (accidentally ordered 2 sets some how). I'd give them to you for $90 shipped if you want them. Drop me a PM if interested.
As for cleaning the carpet, I haven't had a ton of luck. I have the parchment interior and my mats are not looking so good. Especially on the driver's side. The filth just gets so ground in. I was just going to replace mine which doesn't seem so bad considering they're 5 years old now. If you get the all season mats for the dirtier months, they'll stay in better shape much longer.

Oh and as for what works best for cleaning them, a scrub brush and bucket of hot water with Mr. Clean (or similar) works as good as anything I've found. Blast them off with the hose until soap stops coming out then hang them to dry. If you have wet/dry vac, that will expedite the drying quite a bit.
I applied some dilute bleach with a small paint brush to the stitched lettering with decent results. Just be careful with the bleach if you take that extra step.

Thank you for the offer Lukeatron, but already ordered a set of ebay =x. Yea, I took them out to clean and scrubbed them a lot today. Was harsh. As its me only in the car, the driver's carpet is more worn that the rest loool.
And the midnight pearl color is more black than blulish. Everyone mistakes my car to be black until I point it out to them its blue lol. I remember once when we left late from the mall, my roommate didn't recognize my car since under the bright parking lot light it looked blue. Let me try find a pic of my car on my computer. If I can’t I will post one tomorrow after take a pic. Sigh. The car is covered in pollen, even though I just her washed last week T.T. But I will post a pic to see okay ^^.

Can't edit my msg since its after 5 mins, but in looking the papers, the official external color is nighthawk black pearl. Here are pics of some acura CL's with that color. You can see how the it looks blue up close in this pic ^^.
Black/dark navy blue, best of both worlds I say ^^. Though it is a magnet for dirt, dust, and currently pollen T.T. Oh and evil bird poop !!!
