2006 TSX front driver side reading light

is it hard to replace this yourself? if i'm bringing my car in for the power steering recall, is it worth it to just have them do it at the dealership?

has anyone replaced these yet? almost 5 years old, 78,000 miles.

I think you're referring to the map light? If so, they are VERY easy to replace. You need a flat-head screwdriver to pry the cover and it pops right off. I'm sure the stealership will charge you $10 for the bulb and $20 for labor.

Any auto parts store will have them. One number to use to cross-reference is "DE 3175". So "3175" is the bulb number. Its a small bulb. You can bring a small screwdriver with you, pop the cover off and take the old bulb in with you to compare.
Replace both at the same time - it takes 5 seconds, and the newer bulb will be a different brightness than the old one. I think I paid $4.25 for a 2-pack of the bulbs at NAPA.

Between two Hondas and the TSX, I've popped these covers more times than I care to count. It's super scary and they totally feel like they're going to break, but i haven't damaged one yet...
