2006 RSX Type-S v. 2006 TSX w/o navi

2006 RSX Type-s V. 2006 TSX w/o navi

the tsx has to be used (like 20,000 miles or something) and the rsx would have 2 be slightly used.

try not 2 be bias

also on another note is their any differnce btween 2004 TSX and 2005 TSX?

um...2006 rsx would be faster....lighter...and more sporty..but then u don't get the luxo interior compared to 06 tsx....um...i went for the tsx over rsx being that i needed more practicallity...um...price is definately different...its really up to you. I love my tsx, but don't expect it to be as quick as an rsx.

I am assuming you refer to MT in both cars. 04 tsx and 05 differences. XM integrated, the aluminum trim on the steering was changed. only a lot of small things. Nothing major like engine or tranny. The RSX-S, obviously is A LOT quicker due to the lighter weight, stiffer suspension, higher redline, diff tuning in general. TSX comfy daily driver. To be honest since you're not getting the nav. GET THE RSX-S.

since the TSX seems out of the price range you mentioned, the RSX might be a good alternative

What? Why would you compare a TSX to an RSX? TSX should be compared to an Audi A4, Lexus IS250, etc. RSX should be compared to a Civic Si, etc. If you must compare the TSX to the RSX, I suggest you go to Acura.com and you can compare them side by side.

Your logic is like comparing pepsi to beer, yeah, they are both beverages, but totally different.

Additionally, where did you learn "2" spell? I am trying not "2" be "2" biased. Jeez

he wasn't trying to compare by class. if he was then yes, He should be comparing against audi A4, Lexux Is250, and etc. I believe, he just wants to decide from rsx or tsx.

I got my TSX because I wanted a 4 door sedan luxury sedan that is reliable, has good handling, great gas mileage and good resale value, and personally I also believe that the K24 4 cylinder engine is adequate for my driving (I dont really need a 6 cylinder). With that said, the TSX is the best sedan @ $30,000.

If you are insisting on choosing between an RSX and a TSX, then it seems to me that you are trying to stick with making a decision between which Acura to get. And while Acura do make great cars, I do not think you have to stick to a certain "brand".

From my screenname, you could probably guess that I've owned an Evolution VIII before I got my TSX. (When I got my '04 EVO, I was lucky to get it OTD for under $30,000) and for that, the EVO VIII was definitely the best performance sedan for that price. Right now, if you want absolute performance in a 4 door sedan under $30,000, I would say go for a Subaru Legacy.

Hands down, there is simply no hatch/coupe that can touch the RSX-s in the $25,000 category; even with the massive hp, the eclipse V6 is a joke... the RX-8 auto is severely underpowered... although the Scion tC is not bad @ $18,000, it is not in the same class

Just my $0.02

Sounds to me like you should wait for the four door Civic Si if you need four doors and want speed. If you want luxery, four doors and awesome handeling with very respectable performance (6MT), get the TSX. If you want Brute performance, four doors, luxery, (not as nice as the TSX, nor does it handle like a TSX) and remain under the H umbrella, buy an Accord V6 sedan.

I drove the RSX-S and was not all that impressed with the interior. I think the new Civics are nicer. However if you just want the higher horsepower then RSX-S is not a bad choice. TSX can go too though, I guess it depends on whether you want a sedan or a coupe and if you care for interior.

If you less than 30 years old, I would definitely get the RSX-S over a TSX. This is coming from a 30something guy who just bought a 2006 TSX and will be selling is modified/upgraded Civic this afternoon (if the guy shows up with the cashier check). I feel like part of me will still miss the Civic's light, sporty feel!

Since this is a TSX forum I'll break down the RSX-S (whats missing).

Seats = more sporty but no power & butt warmer.
Rearview mirror = sucks doesn't have that auto dimm feature and such..
Garage door open = none
stereo system = joke
cannot get NAVI & XM
missing 2 doors
you see 02-04 models RSX more then prelude/CL/accord coupe/integra nowsdays.

the rsx-s design may be outdated to some, but, i don't think that means that it still doesn't look nice.

i think the design will age very well, a la last generation prelude...

but this post is strictly on a subjective topic.

some of the facts others have posted here are items that should be taken into consideration...
