2006 gauges in 2004

i am wondering if anyone has swapped gauges from a 2006 to a 2004? I was wondering if the mpg info would work. i tried a search and came up with nothing. BTW i am not worried about the mileage, the 2006 gauges are within 1k miles.

Hmm...interesting. Engine Computer Model (ECM) parts number are different between the years. I'm thinking it may not work based on that. Do you have the 06 gauges already?

No if i did, i would give it a try. I am wondering if it is just a plug and play. That would be nice.

I think the 2004 gauges are nicer looking than the 2006. I just looks cleaner.
