2005 Loaner TSX
So I put my TSX in the shop the other day for some routine maintenance and they gave me a loaner TSX to tool around in until the work was done. Of course I pushed it hard the moment I got behind the wheel. One thing really struck me as peculiar though...
I was driving on the highway and put the car in the Sportshift mode so I could really kick it up a notch (best you can do with auto) and I stayed in 2nd gear way past what I thought the rpm limit was for the Sportshift mode. I thought it automatically shifted to 3rd at 6000 rpms?!?!?! Finally for fear of destroying the transmission I put it in gear myself.
Did they change somthing in between models? Does the driver have more control in the 05 TSX? BTW XM is really cool

No. Neither the 04 or 05 shifts for you in any gear at any RPM. You can bounce of redline to your hearts content.

No, you can hit the redline in... damn, beaten to it by like 3 other people.
