2 Rattle Fixs

I dont have any rattles really, aside from the door locks squeaking against the plastic housing and annoying me.

Today I got a small paint brush (really small) and sprayed some silicone lube on it and just swooshed it into the housing that the door locks slide into. It worked, and the squeaking went away, and all the silicone lube that got on the outside of the lock hole, evaporated so It looks just as clean as it did before.

Also, I dont know if this rattled ever because I didnt hear it, but I felt it loose; the black plastic cover that hides all the wires under the steering wheel. Im not talking about the dark gray/tan piece you can see from the seat, im talking about the black plastic piece you only see if you lay on the drivers floor and look up. Well if you get some foam and put it around the points that hold it in place, it wont make a rattle and squeak noise. Theres also a point towards the fuse box that hits against some wires and makes a clicking; just put a slice of felt behind it and its fine.

Hope that helps some of you.

Also, for those with door rattles from bass... what do you expect having the volume on 30 or 40? Honestly, i have my trebble 3/4 way up and the bass is one or two notches above center (if even) and my sound is excellent and crisp and hard. And having it above 14 or 15 is even too loud for an audiophile like myself. I cant imagine all the rattles youd hear in ANY car with a volume level of 30 or 40... Just my 2 cents.

I must be a bass nut, because I go to full 5 for almost all music (except some heavier songs which the system can't handle so I have to dial it back from distortion).

Glad you found the rattles. I have chased several, basically fixing them all with various pieces of felt / silicon, etc...

I hate rattles. Partially due to my experieces in the past with dealerships inability to fix them. I generally try to fix them all myself, unless I just can't get at one.
