sigh, yall are harsh.

I figure somewhere out there is a TL-S or similar that these would look better on than a TSX.
Really though, I think its a fair price, and I hand polished them to make them like new. I need to move them now so I can justify getting hondata!

might have to try craigslist or ebay. ugh.

I guess I'm in in the minority - I don't mind them. Granted, I'm an aftermarket wheel lunatic and am currently shopping for 18's, but these seem better than a lot of stockers. Kind of a bummer to hear they're not selling as I was selfishly hoping to get a few Samolians back after swapping them out. Good luck!

You really didn't make any sense over there BTW. Your complaining about the price because its too much for an "extra" set of wheels. Where did it say they can only be used as extras?

I may want to use those wheels as my primary set (and pigs may fly) but point being your argument about why they should be less makes no sense.

Unless I misunderstood?

The market will decide, who knows, maybe $200 is a fair price. If you want to get the most $$ definately try an alternative to the BM like CL or Ebay

I made an offer. What's to misunderstand? He certainly doesn't have to accept it, but I haven't heard anybody offering him more...

How much would YOU pay him for that fine set of "winter wheels?"

I agree, but I just don't understand your reasoning. (just nitpicking)

So YOU buy them then. If I'm going to buy something that I don't really need, the price has to be a lot better than just "reasonable." And who really needs four extra wheels for their car (unless they had all four wheels stolen?)
First of all, if you don't need them why you making an offer?

And your making the assumption that these are only "extra" wheels "Because who really needs four extra wheels" If you came out and simply said $400 is too much because they're fawkin ugly, than ok. But you didn't. Not trying to start to agrument about this, just thought your reasoning for $200 was odd.

Add he'd have to pay me.

"They're lighter than the previous TSX rims, weighing in at approx 20.5lbs each."

I guess dom's all about the looks -- he'll probably put some 19s on his ride soon. LOL

Hmmm, I'd like to see a link that shows they weigh 20.5lbs. Thats a pretty big difference from the apparent 24lbs of the 04/05 wheels. Having said that I'd take the added 3.5lbs over the 06 wheels.

And no, I'm fine with stock or 17's A-Specs.

My reasoning was, "hey, I've already GOT four nicer looking wheels! I don't NEED those wheels! But if they are cheap enough, I might take them off his hands..."

I actually like them a lot. I'd get them, I'll even be driving through MD next week, but it's not in my budget right now: Tax season, plus I'm having a new set of irons and drivers fabricated for me. Plus, I'm driving down with the Smart with all the luggage. No spare room.

But I would take those rims, get them milled and use them for future applications.

I think those rims would look really good on a Smart car.

Two golf bags with carts will easily fit in the trunk. That being said, I have the coupe, not the convertible.

BUT, let's not

I like those rims.

I guess you don't understand how substantial the effects of rotational mass can be.

... or he DOES understand that SLOW (tirespeed rather than enginespeed) rotational mass that's not entirely concentrated at the outside is quite marginal.

The black market, and it was too good of a deal to pass up.
Try eBay for them at like 200each new.

Hmmm, I'd like to see a link that shows they weigh 20.5lbs.
There was a thread, I swear, but search isn't yielding it to me easily. It was relatively new too like February, but I just can't find it now. If I do I'll update here and the BM thread. If I had a scale at home I'd weigh them myself but I don't.

i don't really mind the stock wheels, and haven't found any aftermarkets that i'm dying to get. that being said, i got run off the road into one hell of a curb and gouged the crap out of both of the wheels on the passenger side of my 06 TSX. I'd definitely be willing to pay $200 + shipping for the set of 4 (or $125 + shipping for 2) without tires

To jump back on my sale for a moment,
I'd offer you the 2 wheels you need for $200 + shipping. Another person is interested in 1. If I can part out the three of them to the two of you I'll do that and keep the 4th for sale until someone needs that one.

But price remains $100 per wheel / $400 for the set, with a great preference and priority to selling them as a set. Also, I got a shipping quote today for a guy in IL and it runs rougly $15/wheel. I'm not trying to price gouge shipping.

The 2 people who msg'd me have been emailed with pictures.

I also don't mind the 06 wheels. Obviously it is personal taste and some don't like them, but there are others that do. There are wheels I like better but i don't mind them on my ride right now.

Each to their own. Just wanted to voice an opinion for them.

Have to agree I think the 06 wheel looks great. I prefer it over the 04/05 wheel. Again it is all personal taste.

I only wish it was available as an 18 or 19 when I purchased the car as now I am looking to change only because I am wanting a bigger wheel.

Sure but.....

Car & Driver got 7.2 to 60 and 15.7 in the 1/4 from a 06. TOV a 6.9 can't remember the 1/4. So The difference IF ANY is minimal.

And I'd still like to see some proof of that 3.5lbs difference.

C'mon dom...there is more to driving than straightline acceleration! I also see the TOV said, "the ['06] car is even more enjoyable to drive than it [the '04/'05] was before".

I've said that myself more than a few times. Just making the point that the 06 isn't very much quicker (from a standing start anyway) with its lighter wheels (still need proof) and upgraded engine. No doubt its a better drive, as it should be.

And if I was worried about that, I would have bought a 6MT '06 Accord V6 instead.

It's all relative to an extent, but the fact the new TSX is indeed quicker and more fun to drive is a good thing -- at least for me.

Quick Reply: 06 Wheels Anyone?
