06 tsx glacier blue metallic

Hi all,

I was at my dealer to pick up my silver 06 tsx, but at the last minute, I changed my mind, once I saw, Glacier Blue Metallic, I had to have it. The dealer was kind enough to let me make the switch. He was great from beginning to the end. I was worried a little since he gave me such a fair price that I thought he was going to pressure me into pay for some weird stuff. Fortunately, he was fair to the end. I definitely have very positive experiences with this particular dealer. If anyone in VA/MD/DC is looking for 06 TSX, please feel free to ask me.

By the way, I picked it up yesterday and already put over 500 miles, very fun to drive.

Thanks again to everyone here who helped me with my tsx shopping!

edit:::>Also, thanks to advice from members here, I decided not to put the side under spoiler. I am glad that I did not add it, whew!

desktop, you went through Radley, right?

Who'd you get in finance?

Anyhow, good choice with that glacier blue. I really like that color in the pictures, but it doesn't suit my personal tastes for a car that I own. Where have you been driving that you put 500 miles on it already?

I went through Rosenthal. My salesperson was very straight forward and very courteous. Radley did not offer me a good deal. I financed with my credit union, very good rate.

I drove all the way down to Virginia beach through the back road. It took me forever to get there. I did my best to keep my speed below 60 mph. According to my fuel meter, I achieved 32 mpg. I was very content with that outcome.

By the way, it was cold and no one at the beach! I will post some pictures when I get a chance, jlukja.

Ive been on the acura forum for along time just looking, trying to decide what my next car will be. Im suck on the new tsx and live in the MD area. Ive been looking at getting one soon at this laural dealership. I dont think im going to get a good deal because they seem to think if you look young you have no money. Im 22 going on 16 looks wise. Just got out of the army and about to get a good job with NJVC ( computer company). If you could point me in the right direction of a good dealer that looks at income instead of looks that would be great.

Don't take any crap. I just bought my TSX, I'm 20 years old and I don't look it (I look younger.) If they don't treat you with the kind of respect that a paying customer deserves, ask to speak with the manager, tell him/her about the attitude you received, than inform them they have lost a sale, and walk out. That'll get their attention really quick.

I think the lighting in this pic makes the GBM look very light. Much lighter than Acura's pic. It looks silver to me!

GBM really depends on the amount of light as to what color comes out. In the sun the silver/blue shows, but when it get darker out it takes on a steel/blue color instead of silver.

It is another wonder color from Acura.

Nice color!

If I were to buy the TSX now, I would go with either the Glacier Blue or the Royal Blue - these blue colors are just absolutely beautiful with the TSX!!!

I too don't like silver that much. I've seen the GBM and I would call it a true blue color. Yes it does depend on the light and it does have silver quality to it but it is definitely blue.

Glacier Blue with Quartz is still my first pick.

I drove by two dealers today.
Good news is they are starting to build up some inventory (not sure how many are already sold though).
Bad news is two Glacier Blue I saw were both non-navi.

I saw some Alabaster Silver & Carbon Gray. Probably pickup one of those next week unless they can find a Glacier Blue with navi.

Happy Holidays.

Don't know about the income/age thing but I didn't like the Laurel dealer because they insisted on having my unlisted home phone number for a test drive. Other dealers just accepted my work line or my email. I ended up buying from Chevy Chase Acura. Seemed nice with no BS. Plus they are two blocks from the Bethesda Metro. My old car (VW Jetta) went to the dealer about once every other month and it was a major pain to catch a shuttle van to and from the metro station.

One thing which I noticed with GBM is that under bright light it bounces off most of its color so it looks silverish blue; on the other hand, when either cloudy or dark out, it observes all light and its blue comes out. I believe the GBM color on the TSX brochure was taken on a cloudy day.

Well, so far I put 1500 miles on my 06 TSX since I purchased it 7 days ago. I am really enjoying the vehicle.

Well, GBM was my first pick. Today, it was overruled by my spouse, so ASM with Quartz interior will be the color. I guess I should get off this thread now

Today was the first time we had a good look at GBM on an overcast day. It looks much more bluish, quite different from a bright sunny day.

It came with the usual chrome tips. Due to bright morning sun light, it is hard to see.

No offense to the GBM and silver people but I think that the darker colors give the TSX a more aggressive look.

Agreed... for some reason, as nice as it looks in any color, black seems to be the most attractive to me. I dunno why. (although white looks incredible too...)

Shades of Glacier Blue

I finally got a chance to post pics of my Glacier Blue. Notice the different tones as created by the afternoon desert sun:
