impressions of the info display???

come on man, let's have some more details!!!!

I have not tried the aux input yet.

We both have bluetooth phones and it works like a charm. My wife called her folks from the car at 10:30pm just to brag. You can even just tell the car what numbers to dial. The show up on the info display, the voice repeats them back, and asks if you want it to dial. You reply and the car places the call through the cell-phone that never left her purse. It auto-links with the phone just by turning the car on. If someone calls, the radio goes down, caller ID is displayed in the info display, you press the button to answer, then start talking. Quite sweet. It's worth $300 bucks+ in my opinion. Very cool that it was standard.

The info display does so much that it will take weeks to figure it all out. It is where you can set all the personal settings for each driver. You can cycle through diferent trip-computer type functions (Av Fuel Consumption, Range, Average speed, etc). It even has an instant fuel consumption feature. For example, when you floor it, it goes down to like 5 mpg. When you coast it goes to like 50. When you cruise it hovers around 33.

The navi is quick and responds to more voice commands. The dealer said that the TSX now has the most voice commands (compaired to the other Acuras).

The memory seats work great but my biggest dissapointment of the whole car is no memory mirrors. Still got to move them for 2nd driver.

If you hate the wheels, you'll never like them. But if you see them in person, it's hard to actually hate them. I was in the camp of just not liking them, after seeing personally, now I think they are nice. It's my wife's car and she likes them so I can find no compelling reasion to spend the $ to replace. If I still disliked them after seeing them live, I would have probably pushed a swap.

She is very happy. I'm happy because she chose a 6-speed manual!

I thought about a new thread, maybe I'll do that...

I didn't own an '05. My only experence with them was test drives.

Our car had 6 miles on it. So we didn't tromp it yet.

Subjectivly, I think it is stronger. Seems like I'm down-shifting less than on the '05.

Don't have that. It's a dealer installed option that is not available yet?

The look like they could be backwords compatable. The arm seems typical. Just the blade is different.

Mark has posted some good pics of his 06 so me posting any is probably redundant but if anyone wants a specific shot let me know. I can't post pics here but I could email them to someone that can, I don't have a host site. I'm going to try and get pics of the dash tonight and I'll see how they come out. Regards.

gigakev: I'll get the pics and see how they come out. I'm not a real whiz with cameras or computers.

STL: My car is Graphite Pearl which I believe is the same a Carbon Gray in the US.

There was a TL in the GP next to a CG TSX at the lot I looked at and the graphite pearl a shade lighter than the CG to me. A little more blue base to it. I like it better. You can see the pearl effect easier without it being in the sun or shining a light on it.

invoice price

where is everyone getting this invoice price?

2006 Royal Blue Auto with Navi:

i got a quote of $27,500 in NJ, plus $189 documentation fee, plus $200 PA registration. Plus approx $1700 in taxes. Undecided on the underbody kit at what the dealer quotes as $1995.00 (800 installation cost? that seems high). I found a site that sells all the 2005 tsx accessories cheap (wheel locks, all season mats, cargo net, etc) so i'll buy them later. i'm happy with the price, might try to get him to throw in wheel locks or something for free.

can someone tell me if door edge trim is a worth while feature, or if it's garbage? i've never bought a new car.

Door edge trim is useless unless you have a habit of slamming cars parked next to you when you open your door. Seems to gather dirt underneath and make waxing around them a pain. It also messes up the smooth lines of a car IMO.

$268 better than my deal.

My dealer matched the internet prices for the mats, locks, and stuff.

As promised, I tried taking picture of the multi info display but without much success. It displays a myriad of information though, the instructions taking up 50 pages in the owners manual. I'd say it is capable of showing well over 50 different displays, with a lot of parameters/programs being user changeable. It displays Bluetooth information like number calling, mumber called, signal strength, and battery condition right on the display. It has a low oil LEVEL warning function. Some of this info I suspect was moved to the MFD from the previous models nav screen. Of course it has all the usual trip computer functions. Also has a lot of maintenance information I think, I'm still learning. Hope this helps.

The last five digits of my VIN are 00168, would this mean my TSX was 168th of the line. Thanks.

Sold Honda

On a side note:

Thought I'd tack this on sence this thread will Die as soon as I or another starts one with better pics of their new TSX.

I just sold my wife's 11 year old, 130,000 mile, Accord for Bluebook +$900. You got to love Hondas. It's been paid off for years and owes us nothing. Yet we where able to sell it for $4400 and know that it's actuly worth at least that. So we are happy and the teenager who will be learning to drive in it will have a nice, safe, dependable car to bang up.

Wow, and I thought my VIN was low. In my excitement, when I was taking pictures of the multi function display I did it in the garage with the light outs but I left the flash on like a dummy, in 60 pictures all I got was the reflection from the dash coming back at me.

Someone was asking if the exhaust tips are larger on the 06s, the answer is no, I measured them against an 05 at the dealer.

Feliz?

Feliz,

i see you live in vancouver as well and have a 2006 TSX on order. Congrads!! Looking forward to hearing how the 06 preforms.

I noticed also that you paid 1500$ under MSRP here in town.

Could you tell me was that: MSRP + $1430 PDI/Frieght less $1500 that you ended up paying for your car?

I am considering purchasing an 06 but looking for some guidance to 06 Vancouver pricing. Where did you go - richmond, burrard, N. Shore?

Thxs.

My MSRP for an 06 AT/navi was $40,000-$1,500=$38,500+$1,430Freight/PDI=$39,930
Plus taxes etc.
