Ya, I should not have used the word "fees".

Should have said Invoice + $700 + Destination ... no fees.

Dang, someone is going to beat me by a couple hours. Stupid long work days and timezones.

It's unfortunate that my car was at the dealer on Monday and if someone would have let my sales guy know, we might have got it yesterday.

Actually, I can't get to the dealers until about 6:00pm so you may be on the road before me.

Nope, I'm not off work until 8pm PST. I'm going to leave a little early because the dealer is picking my wife and I up at home so that we can ride back together in the new car.

So we won't be at the dealership until 8:30pm PST.

By the way, is your car a manual or an auto? Navi?

Just strange that ours was the only '06 TSX to arrive in this shipment to the dealer. All of there other ones are Autoshifters.

Wish I had my camera yesterday. It still had the plastic on it but I could have posted the first '06 customer photos.

I know that this can be easily dismissed as biased... But the redesign looks nice in person. It's like having gound package without the uguly line all around. I looked at the ground package for '06 on Acura website, but just don't like how they all look like tacked on pieces, just like '05 kit.

We where not planning to buy fog lights based on how the looked on '05. But these are well intigrated. Even the wheels look nice. I would not trade back to the '05 style, but I do like the RSX-S wheel a little better. I understand peoples opinions from the pictures, I had my reservations as well, but they look classy in person, just not quite agressive like most would like. Guess that is what A-Spec is for.

I bet your wondering how '06 upgrades will compare to Hondata?

Graphite Pearl, which is the same as your Carbon Gray I believe, A/T, Navi.

My wife thinks it's her car, what she doesn't know won't hurt her. Most of my life I never thought I would drive an automatic but age does something to you, we have three Acuras all automatics.

I hate to sound dumb, but what's the difference between the ground package and A-Spec? I saw the body kit add ons in the Price and Build section of Acura's web site. I was thinking that those were A-Spec but maybe I'm mistaken?

Looks like the Acura's have arrived in Canada at the same time as in the States. No brochures and no website update, just TSX's!

The price increase of $1,100 is different than what my salesman lead me to believe yesterday. When I get back from my trip, my TSX will have had all of the rust proofing, paint and leather protection, clear bra and remote starter accessories already added. The greater price increase will be an interesting discussion and perhaps a negotiating point.

Congrats Feliz

Excited
I tried to go back and edit my post but I wasn't able too, the salesman made a mistake. He told me over the phone the price had gone up $1,100 but when I saw the paperwork it was the $600 we expected. Have a good trip.

So do you have your TSX? Just so you know I am officially jealous! I will heading for bed sooner than usual as we will be heading for the airport just after 3 am.

If I don't catch your post regarding how much you love it, congrats again.

Congrats to you to markcoburn as well.

I am glad to hear that the price increase is a little lower.

Are you getting a Navi? If so, that agrees with the numbers posted here last week. Those numbers showed non-navis going up $1,100 while navis only went up $600 (so the price difference to get the navi option is $500 cheaper than it was).

Looks much nicer in person than first published 2006 TSX photos. Did the 2006 get bigger exhaust tips?

The exhaust tips look bigger in person. First thing I wondered was if they where bigger than '05 because they look it. The revised body comes down lower, maybe that just makes them look bigger.

Photos just don't show how smooth everything looks. All the exterior featurs are smoothly intigrated. The wheel gap is not nearly as bad as the photos look. The front is much more beefy and agressive than the cartoonish way it comes across in the photos. The wheels have a high tech look. The spokes seem so thin at places that it like the rim is suspended around the hub. Looks light and strong at the same time.

We drove it around for a few hours last night, but went easy on it. There is plenty of torque for a 4-banger. I can easly leave it in 4th for 35-45 mph around town and still accelerate easily without an down-shift.

Hmm...the wheels don't look as bad on the black...

I guess I'm gonna have to go and take a test drive when my car comes in to decide. I should be getting a set of TL wheels to go on it for the 3 decent seasons we get here in DC and will keep the OEM wheels for the winter.

Then I'm definitely bringing you a case of bird flu, you crazy canuck.

And as for the wheels, I will have to keep them as a winter set. I am getting TL wheels for the other three seasons. Isn't that enough?!

Winter's a long time have the dealer swap out your 04's.

And why TL rims?

Driving impressions??? Does it FEEL faster or more torque than the 05's? I think you should start a new thread about your impressions on the 2006....

meh...my 04 rims are a little scuffed and could probably stand to be replaced anyway...

As for the TL wheels, I got a good deal on them from a fellow member and they included better tires too. Can't turn down that and I don't mind the look of 17s.

I'll get a shot tonight. It's just a phono (like headphone) jack whit a little cap over it. It's located just above the cellphone power outlet in the center arm-rest.

I've also got to get a close up shot of the wipers. They are trick. Even the dealers where checking them out.

I know that it seems like a silly thing to be excited about, but I do live in the NW.

Hmmmm -- a headphone phono jack. So I guess to use the port with an MP3 player, you need a cable with phono on both ends???
