'06 arrives tomorrow!

Black/Black Navi. 6-speed Manual.

Invoice $27,257 + $700 dealer fees + $615 destination + $230 title and registration:

No sales tax in Oregon.

Unfortunatly, I have to work the next 4 days, including tomorrow. I work 7am - 8pm, so I guess I won't be the first on the board to actully get the car.

We negotiated $700 over invoice. It come out to $1933 under MSRP. I feel it pretty good. Most report paying MSRP at best and sometimes ending up with dealer fees on top of that.

Where I live it costs 18$ to register a bike and the rest is apparently for a title search....like a new Acura would be stolen!! At least that's what I as told when I ask.

It really varies from state to state. Lic. fee in Cali is somewhere around $50 but annual registration is based on the value of the vehicle. For the TSX it runs around $600 - $700 in Calif. + or - .

You'll still have to pay the Chicago tax when you get back and register it.

I guess you're not looking at the $930 he's paying on other "fees". Still pretty good though...

It actually should not be a big shocker. Last year, I recall the similar event -- people were getting the invoice price, or couple hundreds over invoice price, when Acura dealers rolled out the new 2005 TSX.

I remember it because I thought people would be paying MSRP for the 2005, so I got my 2004. No regret there though, since 2004 still have the bragging right of Hondata.

$930 over invoice seems like a decent deal...

STL have you locked in a price yet??
i know you were getting down to something around $500 over invoice...
was the deal:
invoice + $500 + destination + TTL and that's it?

Title and Registration fee is for registering the car and getting issued stickers for the license plate. I believe the fee is for 5 years of registration and no renewal is necessary for that period of time.

Just visited my '06 TSX

My wife and I dropped by the dealer to wrap-up any details before our car arrives tomorrow...

He tells us, "Your car got here on Monday." ...as in yesterday! It's the only one they got. For some reason, only our 6-speed arrived. All of the other '06 TSXs in their first allocation are autos and none of them arrived with ours.

It's still on a remote lot with all it's stickers on it, but he drove us up to see it. I've been working the dealer on a possible wheel-swap for the RSX-S wheels. I'd have to say that after seeing them in person, the wheels look nice. I think that I'd rather have the RSX wheels, but if they want to charge too much I'll just keep the stock ones. Also, I couldn't see buying new wheels just to replace these, unless I wanted a more agressive size.

Sorry, I know .

But, remember we didn't know the car was there untill we arrived.

We are going to pick it up after work tomorrow (9pm). It will be dark, so pictures won't be likely. Sunday will be the first day I'll be off work and possibly able to take pictures.

Mark

Tonkin.

So far, they have been quite good to work with. We are Costo Members, so we've been working through the Fleet Salesman.

I was at Tonkin last week to fix my rattles and I saw NONE of 05 tsx. I guess they sold everything on the lot before 06s came.

Costco has pre-nigotiated prices with car manufacturers/dealers. The Costco/Acura deal on an '06 TSX is MSRP -$500. All I did was call fleet dealer and say I was Costco member, he said "-$500".

No I haven't, but I have time since I don't want to take delivery until early March. The $500 over invoice deal also meant paying a $150 ad fee and a $169 doc fee -- so it was more like $819 over invoice.

I'm still shock you're paying $900 more over the invoice. During my experience with Acura they never sell their cars around the invoice when it first came out. They just won't budge. So that why I say this is one heck of deal regardless of the other fees.

you pay the tax where u register the car

so unless your picking up a house or apt in oregon along with your tsx

you'll still have to pay applicable state taxes

$700.!!!!!

Wow...........$700.00 dealer fees? Last year when I had one ordered I specifically made it clear that there were no "Dealer fees."....and there weren't. Tax,license and delivery only.

i think coburn meant $700 dealer profit...
as you can see he mentions invoice plus $700 plus TTL..

NOT invoice plus X plus $700 plus TTL

My dealer just called and my 06 is ready to be picked up, the only shocker was the price in Canada went up $1,100 . I'm off to the dealer .
