i tried searching for an answer, but to no avail. how much faster is the '06 navigation system compared to the '05, and how much better is the interface? i heard talk of bigger buttons and some other stuff.

Tell us what the '05 features are, and we can possibly tell ya the difference. '06ers don't usually have access to '05 navigations

Bradykp: Very nice interior pics. Ooooo- nice burl wood look. Must be new for '06.

Frescagod: As far as I can see, the buttons for the navi system is the same for '06 and '05. I have the '05. I think the question should perhaps be:

1) is the computer system the same for '05 and '06.

2) If I bought the latest navi DVD disc version-- can my '05 read it? will the new features with Zagat ratings etc be available?

That would be helpful to know. If anybody can give us some clues?

Bradykp: What color is your exterior? I really like that new '06 wood. Very much improved, and your pics really bring out the shine.

i do know that technically speaking, whatever the 06 hardware is, it is slightly faster processing than the 05. whether it's a noticeable difference, i couldn't tell you. but i would doubt it is a noticeable difference. There's a lot of people who had 04's and came up to the 06, they'd probably be able to answer a bit better.
