And by the way, the wiring on the 04 and 05 wheels is going to be different. 05 has illuminated volume and cruise buttons. The 04 does not.
Love the Clerks quote in your sig BTW!

If you don't mind my asking, why are you looking for the wiring schematic? Are you thinking about putting one in your CL? If so, I'd probably go for a 06 - 08 wheel. There's been a few threads about the different years and different wheels. The 04/05 wheel doesn't have nearly the padding as the later years.
And by the way, the wiring on the 04 and 05 wheels is going to be different. 05 has illuminated volume and cruise buttons. The 04 does not.

Ill be honest --- the steering wheel on my CLS is just a tad thicker than my TSX wheels, but not to the point where it over rules the aesthetic beauty of the TSX (compared to the butt ugly wheel in the CL)---
To be even more honest, ive never ever ever liked wheels with the humps in the 9,3 or 10,2 position --- I looked at the '06 wheels, but i could never get used to the humps.
Also aware of the wiring differences on the '04 and '05 --- have both sets of controls for '04 and '05, and while i would like the illumination, the hassle of wiring it for illumination may prove to be more that the worth...
I ask for the '04 wiring because im determined on that right now - i ask for the '05 wiring because if im feeling extra motivated i might try and work a way for illumination. But right now '05 wiring is not a necessity.
On a side note, back to '06 - '08 wheels --- are you saying the wheel all around is thicker or are you just talking about the humps in the standard grip position?

I totally agree. No need to buy the service manual to wire up the steering wheel audio controls. Unfortunately, I don't have the service manual, otherwise I'd be more than happy to oblige you. That 04 wheel looks fantastic your CL by the way
The 06 - 08 wheels are thicker all the way around. It's not just the humps at 10 and 2. They're softer too. There's a few other minor aesthetic differences too. The airbag cover is different. The buttons are there for the MID and Bluetooth, but I'm sure they could be removed.

Okay, check out this thread for some differences between the 04/05 and 06 - 08 wheel. There's a few links to other threads with some good info as well. No schematics that I could find unfortunately, but more info than you'd ever want on the TSX steering wheels.

As promised:
Steering wheel audio controls diagram:
Steering wheel cruise controls diagram:
Not that you’d need this, but just incase…SRS airbag diagram:
This will help you at least figure out what each color coming off the control-end of the cable reel does (and thus which wires are which going to the stock ’04 harness). You shouldn’t need ’05 diagrams, b/c the only additional wire(s) on the ’05 reel/harness would be those for illumination, and perhaps an additional grounding wire.
Good luck w/ what you’re trying to do. Like I said, in the coming months when I get around to finding time to do this, I’ll have a full write-up on ’05 illuminated controls into an ’04. However, that may not help much considering you are doing this on a CL. Most wire colors should be the same, but all may not be.

On the topic... i was in a 2004 accord V6MT the other night and the steering wheels are the same (minor aesthetic differences) however the AV6 wheel felt a lot thicker than the TSX --- i couldnt compare because i didnt have my car with me...
Can anyone confirm?
