Does anyone know if the 04 sub clock display (navi) works with a 05-07 navi system?

for some reason acuraoemparts.com has the sub clock display for the 04 listed as one model... and the 05-07 years listed as another model.

But if memory serves me right, the 04 and 05 was one group and the 06 and 07 was the second group that had the significant changes.

if they added a new feature to the subclock display on the 06/07 such as new icons, etc. can someone let me know???

I believe it's because 05+ support text on that display, and the 04's don't because tey didn't come with XM and don't have a head unit that supports CD/XM/AUX device text display.

I know my 05 subclock can display text, since the 04 does not have XM, it makes sense that you might not be able to display text on there. If I remember correctly in the electrical mannual, the pin and wire for the subclock is the same. You should try and look at the subclock pin diagram and see if there is any difference.

 

Bringing up an old thread..

So text display aside, are they interchangeable? I thought the '05 and '06/'07 were slightly different in color too, with the '06/'07 having a bluer color?

and if I do not have XM radio, are there any benefits of having the text display capability? Can it display cd text?
