04 PWP TSX owner! - Worried.. Q's. -First Car!
Hey Acurazine!
I just had purchased a 2004 Acura TSX in the Premium Pearl white, (No Navi), and the best part about this that it is the 6 speed version! This will be my first car, i'm 18 years old and it's coming in on Wednesday.
I was wondering if it was worth the buy because I went kind of over my head and bought it :/
- It has 113,000 Kilometers and I bought it for $10,000 even, with taxes included, It was 9,000 without taxes. It has in a little rough condition, nothing more than scuffs and a few rust spots and are hardly noticeable, nothing bad. I plan on taking it to a body-shop and try to get it fixed/touched up.
-The test drive was went good, it shifted like butter but I have yet to learn manual comfortably (first manual car of my own), there was one problem though, the rear right wheel started smoking! I was the rotor or bad not sure, but all i can say it was HOT. The dealership said they would safety and everything and get it fixed. It had 2 previous owners but it didn't seemed abused at all, there were crayons laying in the car haha, supposedly it was a family car? but you never know.

My plans for this car;
-Plasti-dip Rims - black - RED capilars
-Plasti-dip badges - black
-Black vinyl roof - Black
- White LED interior lighting - white (footwells) (roof)
- 35 Tints all around
- Maybe a lip spoiler And rear windshield ( either or or both. )
- "TSX" plates
I will be keeping my TSX really clean, simple, and just have a respectable street cred.
I plan on becoming apart of this community, I just joined. Will post pictures and keep everyone updated!
P.S; Is there anything I should look out for? problems? tips? I'm becoming really discouraged reading all these problems!

Congrats on getting a manual. Take this advice from an old man. When you are learning manual shifting, have your radio turned off. That way you can focus and listen to the engine for the ideal shift points.
Practice double clutching as well.
Also, go slow with the mods...Keep some $$$ set aside for unexpected repairs, new tires, etc.
Hopefully, the dealer gave you warranty so if anything crops up in the next few months, you are taken care of.
