received my front and rear kit today. said it was package 1 of 2 and the guy didnt have the second package with him so im assuming it will come tomorrow. so im just missing the side skirts.
packaging was done really well and secure. took me about 10 minutes to take apart but glad it was done that well.
as far as the quality of the kit goes, seems to be quite good. i dont really have any experience with kits but looks to be good.
i havent taken the clear plastic off and probably wont just to keep it clean until i bring it in for paint. hopefully second package comes tomorrow.

if there is a little chip on the inserts just use a little bondo to fill it then primer it
problem with the inserts are because of how small it is. its really hard to replicate with fiber glass.
if its really broken or damaged please send back for replacment thanks

SSG...I'm doing it. But let me tell you one thing. The quality of whole kit(not just inserts) is below the average. I got replica wing from ebay same day and the quality of the two replica looked sooo different.

what was the difference between them
can you explain more. ive never really dealt with kits before but like i said besides those inserts the kit really seems to be alright to me. unless im just missing something. i put it up to my car and everything seemed to be in the right place.
ill see what they think at the shop i guess

The edges of every piece of the kit was like chain saw just like you saw on the pics I posted last thread. First time I saw the kit, I thought all the pieces can be trimmed by sanding so I just went to the body shop and dropped them except the inserts. Last night I decided to trim the inserts but I realized the rough surface cannot be trimmed by sanding because they are too deep and one of the pieces had hollow spot like size of a nail in the middle. That's why I'm doing putty and primer to fix it now. I can fix the inserts by myself cuz it's small part. However, I don't think the body shop guys will do all putty and primer again to fix the rest of the kit if they have problem like this because it's too much work. So finally the edges of the pieces still could be rough after get painted and there could be other hollow spots covered with thin primer layer somewhere so paint get peeled off with ease later on and fix it and get it painted again. That's what I'm worrying about BTW, the ebay replica wing(40$) had very smooth surface and had no rough edge at all.

Well i am glad i didn't order them then. It should come to you and need mild sanding then primer and paint. Not bondo. That should never be needed by the end user. The manufacturer should handle that because its generally considered a defect. I understand parts get messed up, but its crappy that you dumped it on the customer to fix it when you had to have known it was there. Kinda hard to miss.
Anyways, CrazyCool thanks for the pics. When/if you get it on the car can you take pics of the gaps so we can see how it fits? ABPTSX started a thread in the gallery section but doesn't have them on the car.. or even out of the plastic... which kinda defeats the pupose of pics. Also, how sturdy are the pieces?

I called the body shop today and they said they found couple chips on the rest of the kit and they fixed them with ease so finally it's pretty much ok. Peace of mind for everyone. Since body shop can fix them with ease and I guess I'm the only one having problem with the poor quality inserts, it's not perfect kit but still good enough

isn't that the customs fee you have to pay for having oversized packages from canada to the US?
i had to pay a similar fee for my kit from aj-racing which i'm still waiting on.
