0-60 Automatic times?

Just curious -- what sort of 0-60 times is the 5AT TSX getting? Quarter-mile?

To my knowledge only once has an AT gone head to head with an MT on a track. Both cars were similararly modded and the MT was about 0.5 sec quicker in the 1/4 mile. 15.7 to 16.2 or so If I recall correctly.

My god...9 seconds??!? That's pretty slow..... Any word on how easy it is to mod the auto TSXes to go faster?

I'm thinking about getting one in a year or so, and while I'm not a speed demon, I was expecting it to be comparable to the V6 I have now ~ 7-8 second range, which is what I'd heard...but I guess that's just for the manual. Hmmm.

Its not a 9 sec car. Most 1/4 mile time even stock have been 16.1 to 16.4. Those times are not consistent with a 9 sec 0-60. More along the lines of 8 sec. The 9 sec time was done by people who would have gotten 8.x in an MT.

Having said all that, the AT is still pretty slow.

Just as easy to mod an auto as an manual, except for the short shifter, lighter clutch, ect...

Someone ran a 16.1. I Think against dzuy on a track like I mentioned above. He had Injen. Hondata and I'm not sure what else.

Someone else ran a 16.2 or 16.3 bone stock. And he had the slips to prove it.

Its a high 15 sec car at the VERY best and you'll likely need CAI and Hondata to get there.

yea you're right.

my slowest time with a MT was 15.7
my fastest time was 15.57 @ ~91.5 mph

i think triz08 (injen cai, hondata, comptech exhuast)
fastest time was 16.1

he now has header and high flow cat tho.

but no way i'm running my car in this florida heat.

my car has been readin 108-110 outside the last couple of weeks.

I'd just get some nice slotted or cross drilled rotors and paint your calipers. Keep it cheap.
