$27,390 too much for a TSX AT w/o Navi 06?
I got a "no haggle, lowest price" internet quote from my local dealer here in New Jersey and was given a price of $27,390 for a 2006 TSX automatic, no navi. Another dealer gave me a internet quote of $27,400. And of course these prices are not including taxes, fees, etc.
I'm no expert on cars but it seems to me that these prices are a little high... only $500 less than the sticker price.
What would be a good price range for this car?
Thanks

Sounds about the norm to me. $28,505 is MSRP on www.bridgewateracura.com so I think that's a pretty good quote for a car that's barely out yet. I wouldn't expect any huge discounts, at least not right now.

I gotta disagree. That internet quote is a great way to start your shopping, but don't end it there. Take one quote to the other guy's dealer, sit thru a sales pitch, ask him to beat it... he will. You should be able to get $2k of MSRP with no sweat off your back, you just gotta ask. I just negotiated myself a 2006 with Navi GB/Qz (rare colors, had to special swap for it from 3 states away) for $28,200. In hindsight I may have even left some money on the table, but I'm happy enough with my deal, $2,350 off MSRP.
Keep going! Look at the 'what price are you paying for a 2006 tsx' thread and the last few pages of the owner sign in thread for more price points. Theres several Jersey people there who may be able to point you to a good dealer / salesman.

I paid a similar amount for an '06 in December. It seemed high to me as well. I think it depends on what part of the country you are buying it and whether you want something specific. I talked numerous times to all the dealers within 300 miles of me, and could not get them to budge. To me the car is still a great value for what you get.
You might be able to do better though, I dunno.

I just looked at the "What Price are you Paying...." thread, and for an '06 non-Navi model, the range seems to be $26,100 to $26,800, before Tax & Title. Some of these people got accessories thrown in as well. A good rule of thumb is to start negotiations off at $500 over invoice and go from there. Invoice can be found at www.edmunds.com as well as a wealth of other information.
