Indeed - here it would have to take a dollar amount equal to 80% of the car's value to total it and pay the dude... lot more damage than they are letting on.

Out of curiosity, does the HID tilt up to become high beams on the TL? I heard the inner two lights are fog lights and didn't see any halogen lights in those pictures.

The driver curtain air bag has deployed and so has the driver seat air bag. I personally don’t consider them essential so it’s your choice to replace them or not.
LOL, yeah. And you can just leave the steering wheel held together with that beautiful tape. Maybe the paramedics could peel it off your face after the next crash.
I'd want to see an itemized repair quote from an Acura authorized shop before I'd even consider this. Anyway, cars are never the same after they've suffered that kind of damage. My gut feeling is that this guy is the owner, and he crashed it without insurance. Reading his story really set off my bullshit detector. He wants someone to buy his smashed piece of shit, so he can go buy a brand new TSX for a few thousand more.

I think it would be fun if you could do the work yourself. You could bring him down some.
Just some math.. Salvage title first of all. I can see the airbag(s) need to be replaced, along with the airbad sensor, module, plus labor. New bumper, fenders, hood, paint, labor, plus all that other junk in the middle. I wonder if it drives? It's not like you can just fix it and get a long with life. You're always taking a risk with this kind of car. I think 23 is a bit much.
