rear suspension rides rough

rear suspension rides rough

I repkaced all 4 struts/shocks on my 96 2.5. The rear susp. feels like I have no shocksat all . How can you tell if the springs need to be replaced? 120,000 miles. Thanks

I have never heard of springs going bad, especially at 120k. Has to be something else

I would recheck everything to see if it was installed properly.

so you replaced it all? if soo you have to let it settle.. i believe thats wat happen to me when i just replace my lowering springs

How long did it take? I want to replace my shocks when it gets warm out.

It you feel like driving without a shock meaning it is very very bouncy. If it feel rough, it is either a bad shock or a new shock that needs to have break-in period. If sping goes bad, normally it looks sag due to the loss of spring rate.

I got them from the dealer. Repleced them last summer. It's not rocket science to replace them. It just feels like no smoothness. Like a lowered vehicle. No give to the suspension over bumps or over bumpy road. Didn't think the springs looked bad when I did the work. Just rides like s%#t!!

If the shocks are new have mechanic check the install. Stock shocks should give a smooth ride.
