Smile New tire time.

My tires are pretty much shot. I have VERY light camber wear on the passenger front. Need to shop for new tires as I will be replacing them in about a month. Budget is about $350 max.. . I can install and balance them myself so I will save on the installation. Don't want any summer or performance tires this time because they wear too quickly and gas mileage just plain sucks. Mileage is big issue for me this year. All season tires? Suggestions?

Another thing. Should I go down on size a little. I am running 215/55/16 currently. Thinking about going back to the stock wheel specs 205/55/16. Thoughts on this as well.

I hear really good things about General UHP's. They cost less than other comparable tires and have really good thread-life. When I get the rims that I'm looking for these are definitely the tires that I'm buying.

I have had Fuzion HRi's on my car since I got it and I just replaced two in December. I have NOT had any problems with them at all. I looked and found that they come in those specs.

That's my

UHPs are summer tires, and the HRis are H-rated, which mean no grip. The reason the tires are wearing out so quickly for you is because of how you drive. Same goes for mileage. My treadwear rating is 140. These tires have taken me from SF to SD and back, SF to LA and OC twice, countless trips between the SFV and OC, and SF to SJ a crapload of times. Also, all the miles in the city, through twists and turns and sudden braking, and my rear tires are practically new still. Fronts are another matter, but a screw and having to issues will destroy any tire.

CHANGE YOUR DRIVING HABITS.

Kumho Ecsta ASX for the next set you should get. Cheap and surprisingly grippy for a Kumho.

~Cheers~

^Dude, I am working on it. I got 19 miles to a gallon on last tank. Hoping for little more on next one. I am done with summer tires. Need all seasons.

Ahh yeah I forgot that you wanted all seasons... Are summer tires generally "smoother" than all seasons? I'm just looking for a smooth and quiet ride so I'm guessing that summer rubber is the way to go, right?

Yes, summer rubber is softer and sticks more to the road surface, therefore better traction.

I could already tell the tires were new cuz the sticker was still in between the treed of the tire and the little tire hairs i call tem were alll over the tire so yeah lol i took them off a legend that just got to the junkyyard at that time
