Won't start, problem with anti theft alarm?

I have a 1996 Acura 3.2. Currently we are having problems with the car starting and are assuming it has something to do with the factory anti theft alarm?

Any thoughts?

Also, the heater blows at minimal heat. Sometimes if we slam the hood it will come on full power. All local mechanics cannot locate probelm, we have been directed to go to the dealer. (which is 8 hours away)

Any help, greatly appreciated!!!

Do a search for "Won't Start" and you'll see several threads regarding this issue. Most likely culprit is a faulty keyswitch. Have those mechanics checked the heater core and the blower motor's harnesses? They could've melted.

More info needed to help w/ no-start. Does instrument panel light up when key is turned to ON position. Does engine turn over, starter clicks only, or nothing but silence. All symptoms provide clues to your problem.

Your blower motor problem is likely associated w/ the speed control for the blower, or the climate control. You should perform the self-diagnostic on the climate control to see if a problem is indicated. I'm not at home and don't have access to my manual to tell you how to run the test. I think you press the ON an OFF at same time. Do a search for "self diagnostic" or "blower" and you can find the test proc.

good luck
