Where to buy aftermarket blower motor?

hi guys,
im usually in the tsx forum but im trying to help my bro out and fix his blower motor problem that you guys seem to be having. The only problem is i cant find it anywhere other than the dealer and i read that you guys have found aftermarket ones for about 80-100 bucks. Can someone steer me in the direction of getting one of those? thanks

I would check ebay for replacement blower motors. If you don't find your particular blower motor, ask the seller if he can access. I've found the following ebay auto parts dealer to be particularly helpful. He was able to find parts not listed on his storefront. Very good prices.

good luck

Your best bet for lower price other than OEM, is a used part. However given the difficulty in accessing, removing, and replacing the blower, I would go w/ OEM. I have had spotty performance from aftermarket blowers. One Beck-Arnley only lasted about 6 months, and was replaced under warranty however that doesn't pay for your time/effort.

Blowers are not repairable, unless you are a major handyman. Finding the small bearings, brushes, and parts that need replacement is very difficult. I tried and managed to repair one blower (Accord), but it only worked a few months and failed.

When/if my 2.5TL blower fails, I'll pony up the OEM price to insure I don't have to do the job twice.

good luck
