What is this stupid annoying sound!....anyone please?

Everytime i accelerate or press gas i hear a sound that sounds like a blade hitting against something metal....if i take my feet off the gas then i hear nothing, sometimes it can get really loud.....the faster i go the sound of a 'blade hitting metal' also increases but bleeds away after driving at a good amount of speed.....seems to be coming from the right driver side.

Describe this blade hitting metal sound.

Screeching?

Squeaking?

etc

Check your CV joint boots carefully. Axles and wheels are all that's rotating behind front of engine.

It could be a loose piece of tire slapping the wheel well, but you should also have severe vibration/noise if that were the case.

good luck

It could also be the backing plate. Mine was rusted to shit and was hanging loose and rubbing on the rim. Then I took the rim off and the plate just fell to the ground. The sound that it made was similar to what you described. Good luck.
