I have a questions about my 1996 TL 2.5
I replaced the engine recently with the engine from 1998 TL 2.5 and when guys were lifting up the old engine, they broke off the solenoids which located on the top of the transmission. I went to the junk yard and got used solenoids and installed them. I have a conscern that they are not good because at any speed, if I slightly touch the gas pedal, I feel a kick in the transmission also when I release the pedal at the very end, it kicks also. It does the same thing when vehicle is on the cruise control. Transmission itself shifts smooth, but just this kicking problem when I apply or take off gas pedal conscerns me. I don't want to buy solenoids just to realize that it is not the problem. Please reasure me or guide me on the right path.
