Replacement on 3.2 Front Speakers
I was wondering if anyone had any tips about how to buy and change out the front tweeters on the 1997 TL 3.2? Pictures or diagrams would be great!!! Here are the things I am looking for:
*What size should I buy?
*How to change them out?
*What are some things I need to do to change them out to keep the correct sound? Special wiring, ect?
Thanks.

I cant find what i am looking for in thoes other threads. Where are they? I dont mean to be a pain, but I am new and am starting from scratch fixing and repairing this car. I aint trying to barge in on your stuff, I am just trying to get the best from the people who know it. If you will direct me in the correct path, I will find out for myself.
I just want to know how to change out the dash tweeters and what size tweets I should buy for the dash and the dome speakers. Just a little info, and the tread will be done.

That's the thread on the front speakers. Dome mid-ranges are best left stock. Don't take it personally, just a bit on edge from a few other new members that have been making asses of themselves recently.

I understand. It makes it hard for new people to join. It makes it "Exclusive" which causes separation between the newbies and the old guard.
Anyways, how can you test the two speakers to tell if they are working properly? I dont want to mess anything up if it is not messed up.
Also, will a new head unit require differen wiring?

So far from what I've seen, I'm one of the only people on the boards with the dome speakers working with an aftermarket sound system. Deadsetonliving will be the next one, and I believe Ken1997TL was working on his as well. Most of the time, the overheads should still be working because they never had to handle nearly as much of a load as the fronts. You will have to splice the wiring since there isn't a harness adapter.

I guess all I have to REALLY do is change out the speakers all around the car and leave the dome speakers. Am I thinking that right?
Also, am I understanding you when you say I have to splice the wiring to get them to work with the aftermarket head unit? If so, how (and what) should I go about starting this project. I have the online manual for our cars, but it says nothing about watching out for certain speaker wires and adapting them to the new head unit you are putting in. Please fill me in on what you did to get them to work. Please!

There is another thread (two or three of them) where I posted info on this. The most recent one is by deadsetonliving, and it's located here: https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/about-dead-gets-159027/ .
