Power Steering Problems

Has anyone had any problems with their powersteering not working at idle after the engine heats up? I just bought a 96 TL 2.5 with 128K. During the test drive, everything worked great. Now that I have the car home, once the car has been running for awhile, the power steering pump seems to not provide any assistance when the car is at a stop at idle. If I give it gas in neutral or park, it works fine. The pump has a very small leak at the shaft (only enough to attract dirt, no dripping). I emptied the reservoir and put a power steering fluid treatment in it and topped it off with Honda PS fluid. This brought up another question. It seems that the Honda PS fluid is not nearly as viscous as regular PS fluid, or the fluid I pulled out of the reservoir. Could this be the problem? If I drained and refilled the system with Honda PS would this solve the problem or do I need to replace the pump or other parts (pump is $200)?
Any help in this matter would be great.
