OVERheating!!!!!
well guys earlier this week i posted in this section and i have to do it again...A 30 min drive and the car started to smoke from under the hood ( real bad) It was cheech in chong under the hood . Checked oil and coolant both were fine. The temp gauge stayed at normal as well. I have no clue whats wrong now im even having second thoughts on keeping the car.

So no coolant spill or smell anywhere? I'm not familiar with the 3.2 engine, but does it smell like oil burning?

Do a visual inspection around the area that you saw smoke come out to see any oil residue left from leaks and such. Put a picture up if possible so that others may help you better.
Did you try to start/drive it again after that?

If the coolant and oil level is okay, and your temperature gauge is within normal operating limits, I think you should be fine. Just let the engine cool off, and start it with the hood open and let it warm up to pinpoint where exactly the smoke is coming from. Keep an eye on the temperature gauge and coolant level, as you do not want those to go out of normal range. Let us know what you find.

I'll let someone with a 3.2 chime in on this one, but I think it's just oil leaking from your valve cover onto the exhaust manifold cover causing the smoke that you see.

Valve cover gasket. If its leaking, it could drip onto the heat shield for the exhaust manifold, causing smoke and in the worst case, fire. Definitely get it checked out because IIRC, some CR-Vs were recalled because of engine fires caused by the O-ring on the oil filter getting stuck on the block, then not sealing properly when a new filter was put on. Luckily for us, we have that heat shield because they were dripping directly onto the manifold.
~Cheers~
P.S. Try rinsing it off with some dish soap and water, then start the car again to see if more oil comes out. The gasket is not an expensive fix, just time consuming.
P.P.S. Just read that you got the gaskets changed. Maybe they weren't seated/sealed properly. Bring it back to the shop that did the work and have them check it out. It seems like a mistake on their part.

ye sir... i did have the gasket cover replaced less than 2 months ago agin because of all the carbon in the menifold. If this shall be the case, im gonna give the shop a call and let em know that this happened... But then again go90go would this dilema be the cause of my CEL as i havent had the time to check it out with these crazy work hours

It could be, but I highly doubt that the CEL and this are related.
If anything, loss of oil pressure would cause the oil light to come on, not the CEL. It happened to me when I popped my oil pan on a hug pothole.

Go90go You are a genious lol.....it is the gasket cover which is leaking. I just had a good friend come over and take a look, and he said pretty much the same thing thats causing it to smoke up. Now, i have to get a quote about fixing the damn thing.

Yeah, that's what I meant. You have a valve cover gasket leak, leaking oil onto the exhaust manifold cover. The oil residue on the cover can be clean by simply wiping it down, no harm to the manifold.
Go90go mentioned that you had the gaskets changed recently. You should try to get the shop to fix this under warranty because this seems to be like a mistake on their part like he mentioned.

Yup, im gonna try and give em a call and take the Tl in....But in the worse case scenario im gonna have to be ready to pay the 300 dollars it should cost to fix this B/S.

They should take care of the problem for you since you said that it was replaced less than 2 months ago. Worst case is that they give you a discount on the repair. Good Luck!
