I know the car has to be driven until it’s at normal operating temperature and on a level surface. What I don’t know is if the car is supposed to stay running or if your supposed to turn it off and check it.
The reason I’m confused is my Acura manual say to put it in park, turn it off then check it. But I asked several mechanics and googled it and everyones saying it has to be running...
If I check it while it’s running it’s usually a lower reading but if I turn the car off it’s a higher reading.. I need to figure this out ASAP if anyone knows how to properly check it it on this specific car I would really really appreciate it...
