Angry Help!! ...headlights OUT!!!

As i started my car today, i turned on the headlights only to find that my left headlight was out .....So i opened the hood and saw that the right headlight would only require minimal time to replace. Problem here is, that as i tried looking at the bulbs from inside the hood,,, i cant because you have to take out some stuff before you detach any bulb or anything in the left headlight area.... Now, i have to take it to pepboys or somewhere to get it replaced because i dont think i can do it without messing something up. ....

Any tips or help on how to replace a left headlight bulb on a 97 3.2 Tl anyone... Ive seen pix of the whole headlights taken out, so im pretty sure at least one of you can help..

any help or tips would be appreciated....

You can take the top of the intake out and that isn't hard to do, just remove the side clips.

Disconnect it, remove the rubber seal, and then that will expose the bulb.

Then there is a gold wire that looks like a wire hanger that holds the bulb steady. Look for the "u" shape of the clip. Push it down and out. Then the bulb will come out.

Just reverse the process and then everything will be fine.

Remember replace bulbs in pairs! If one has gone out then the other is likely to go out soon.

^ Actually, it might be hard since the connector can get stuck on the bulb. It happened to me and I actually got the bulb out of the headlight BEFORE I got the connector off, haha.

~Cheers~

You just have to locate that little tab on the connector to take it off.

So, i decided to go replace the bulb this weekend at a local shop. Since i was in a hurry i agreed to pay the $50 dollars to replace both. Honestly, i have no idea if i got ripped off but hey i don't have to worry about looking stupid with only one headlight at night.

But anyways, thank you all who gave me tips on how to change the bulb.U guys are great keep it up......

Yeah bulbs were included in the deal. But The only thing that made me mad was that later i saw HID bulbs fo twenty five bucks a pair . Now only thing i constantly think about is how much is labor gonna cost me when i drop the Tl...all I know is that my wallet will really say OUCH. If labor for minor things like replacing bulbs is that much i kinda know what to expecT
