Front brakes
I have a 98 2.5 and I just changed the brakes on the front and I did not go with the factory like normal I just picked them up from Nappa and now i'm hearing the squeaking when I stop but not all the time. My question is will they eventually wear and stop sqeaking or should I change the rotors?

Brakes have a breaking-in period just like everything else, so I'm not surprised that it's squeaking a bit. As long as you didn't get shitty pads, you'll be ok. The noise should go away within a few days, depending on your driving habits.

It depends on the condition of the rotors- if they are grooved at all or have black cracks or blue heat marks- there could be your problem.
Cleaning them with 150 grit sandpaper and then washing can help but at that point- rotors are cheap- just replace them
If you replace with NAPA rotors- get the American MADE ones- only a buck more than the "imported" AAA members get discount on parts there
Make sure to clean and then brake caliper grease all the slider pins, bare end of caliper bolts and caliper to pad back and ends so the calipers seem to float back and forth.
Flush the brake fluid once a year too!

I just got back from philly, which is about an hour away and got stuck in traffic for dam near 2 hours bumper to bumper so they got alot of use and when I finally got home I heard them squeak again.
I'll give it a few more days and then i'll change the rotors, and I did notice that the current rotors have minor grooves, but the brakes I took off were not worn down that much, I still had about 20-35% left so there was no metal to metal contact.
Thanks for your help
