My 96 2.5 drove last night went to store then filled up and drove home no problems. Went to leave house this morning and would not start, it cranks like it wants to start but wont turn over! Smelled gas after trying for about ten minutes. Guessing fuel pump any ideas would be appreciated......Thx in advance...Jim

 

I don't really know, but if you smelled gas, it may have been spark. I'd take out a plug and ground the side of it (with the cable still on). Crank the engine to see if it has spark. I have no idea what to do if it doesn't have spark though.

 

check your main fuel relay, hondas are known for the problem.
Also, if you can smelled gas then you are probably getting fuel to the injectors. But check if you are anyways, by very carefully opening fuel filter top bolt. With ignition turned to on. Its best to have 2 people for this. Be careful with this!
I also had a similar problem, where my car would just crank. I wasnt getting any fuel at all to the injectors. I changed my main fuel relay and it still didnt start. I finally had to get it towed to a shop. They found my computer to be bad. A few of the capacitors were burned. They replaced the computer and soo far its been good. Wasnt cheap though
Luckily it was a used computer as a new one costs about 1200 from the dealer. Hopefully it isnt your computer and its the main relay or something less expensive.
