1'st Generation Coil Pack Recall?
Hello all, I usually only lurk and read, but this week I have a problem that I'm hoping you TL guys can help me with. My 98 TL with 150k miles recently started skipping at low speeds. As highers speeds it ran fine. My mechanic found the problem, a spark plug for whatever reason was letting current run down it to the block. He replaced the plug and it runs fine now. He did say that I probally want to change at least that one coil pack becasue there is likely something wrong with it that caused this and it will likely happen again. Do any of you have any experience with this? Should I change just one coil or change them all?
My mechanic says I can by one for $118 but can get all six for $180. He thinks they are packaged together that way because there likely was a recall on them. I've searched the web and can't find any indication that this car was ever recalled for coil packs.... do any of you know? Thanks.

there isn't a recall on the coil packs that I know of. Given the much better value of buying a set of coil packs for 180, your better off doing that. You might try visiting acuraautomotiveparts.org to see if you can get a better deal on those coil packs.
