1997 3.2 TL fuel requirements
I just bought my Acura from a private owner who has only used premium non-ethanol fuel for 12 years. With over 300k on the car is it necessary and/or beneficial to follow their lead regarding fuel type?

i actually read in my original owners manual just this morning that you should use 91oct or better, but if you substitute for lower grade fuel that the car will adapt automatically,at the cost of lower power.

I've used lower octane almost exclusively since 1997. I do try to get a better brand when I use it except on the open highway. I get my gas almost always at Costco.

If you switch to a lower octane, you won't save money. It'll burn more gas per mile AND give you less power.
