What do you use to clean the wheels?

I keep my TL super clean but cleaning the wheels is a pain in the butt. It seems as if the brake dust fused with the wheel. What do you guys use to get the crud off?

SOAP AND WATER...PERIOD! (Chrome look A-Specs)

Either use a dedicated wheel cleaner (Eagle One All Wheel and Tire Cleaner is pretty strong, and locally available) or just soap and water (you can wax your wheels to make cleaning even easier, just make sure you have them perfectly clean)

I use Eagle One Wheel and Tire cleaner and then agitate it with a soft bristle brush.

I say it again...soap and water! How long are you guys waiting between washes anyway?

desired_speeds 06-24-2006 01:30 PM

but seriously, soap and water got my wheels pretty damn clean after the car not being taken care of AT ALL by the previous owner

WolfpackBill 06-24-2006 03:38 PM

I wash my wheels and tires before even getting the car wet so that's why I use a wheel/tire cleaner instead of soap and water.
