If they are the same as the 1G TL you need a press to take the rotor off.

So if that is the case, you will need the whole driveshaft.

I believe for the calipers you need a 10mm and 12mm
that only applies to the 2.5TL... the 3.2TL rotors aren't hub over rotor... just rotor with the holding screws...

damn all i needed to remove was those dang screws. how do you remove the calipers they were a bitch they would not budge at all and the rotors where all rusted so would it just be better to just us the calipers and buy some new rotors for the legend. and can you paint them with some type of spray paint.

I got all the manifold off of the legend and its not that bad just got some carbon on it how should i go about removing it. I live in an apartment complex moved last summer not that much room to work with either.

I would just get new rotors then.

If you want to spray paint the calipers, yes you can paint them.

You can use either caliper paint or engine paint. You just have to do really good prep work so that the paint sticks to the caliper.

14mm wrench or socket/ratchet for the calipers and lines themselves and a 17mm wrench or ratchet to remove the brackets. The 17mm is a bit harder as it's torqued to 80ft/lbs so you will have to use your breaker bars or another wrench for more leverage.

does any one want the bottom half of the intake i really do not want to put the whole thing on my car i just want the intake manifold.

The gasket on the manifold is 81.00 for our car the 3.2 tl now that is the exactly the same gasket for the type II.

Im using engine degreaser right now and carbon is really stuck on there i was thinking about taking to it the car wash and pressure washing the manifold.

I would like the get it glass beaded but i have no clue where in chico does it and how much it would cost.

Yes, it will pass as long as you still have the EGR in place. A pressure washer won't do much, you have to scrape the buildup out. Check the pictures in my thread with the scraper taking out a chunk of carbon.

~Cheers~

I took it to a machine shop and they are washing drying and glass beading it so that it will look all new again.

i use to own a legend. recently it got totaled in an accident i had and now i got a 97 3.2 tl premium package and all. anyways, i kno that with going from a type 1 to a type 2 intake manifold on a legend we had to block off the pair valve...is this also true with our tl's?? also just as a side note i took the k&n sri and the weapon-r cold air box i had on my legend and switched it over to the tl and it fits just fine.

wtf, the bottom half is the same on the tl... All intake manifold gaskets are the same for for the C32, whether its type I, type II, etc. Use a wire brush and a shitload of carb and brake cleaner to get the carbon off. But glass beading is prolly faster.

Can you use the manual transmission to do a manual conversion on the TL from an acura legend?
