btw. if you read the description on acuratlparts.com.. it saysss..
"The ATLP UA5 Dual Exhaust manufactured through Stromung Exhaust Engineering provides an optimized power increase throughout the entire range, yet produces an authoritative note that is not intruding at cruising, and an aggressive tone at full throttle. The free-flow design allows a smooth and linear performance increase."

Yes. If you knew either one of us, you'd know we speak from experience. One of our good friends is still running a Stromung, and while I find that it has a nice tone, it does get annoying driving behind him.
Haha!

its still not as bad as your exhaust.^ Yea I pretty much went on a 1200 mile trip with that car in like a 3 day period. It got annoying and made me see how nice stock mufflers are. SO my suggestion is: full exhaust up to the stock axle back. Then keep a flange on the stock axleback then if u want to try out a new muffler, then have a shop weld you up a new axle back. This way if you ever feel its too loud, then you can switch it back around, vice versa. Look into Remus or Vibrate mufflers, can't guarantee vibrant will be quiet though. I don't really like Magnaflow much. The sound is too choppy for me. Although I do not like the Stromung too much, I do like it MUCH more than Magnaflow. I'm very conservative in terms of modding, and if I had to choose a muffler, Remus would suit me the best.

^ You're the only one that has complaints about it. I've NEVER gotten anything but surprise and praise for my exhaust note. Even 240 Chris was surprised when he was waiting at the Chevron off 280 and saw/heard me go by as our group got into the city.
When Supra Brian, Cecily and I were driving back from Platinum Motorsports VIP, he mentioned, "Damn, Art, I never noticed how throaty your car is. Travis told me that he loved the way your car sounded but now I know what he's talking about. It sounds really good."

well put it this way. I think your exhaust sounds like shit. There's nothing you can do to change my mind.
With hat being said... just for fun, my theory is that everybody has a little rice inside of them at heart, its just that they express it in different ways. Possibly his way is to compliment a ricey exhaust on others' cars.

[QUOTE=desired_speeds;10642033]yeap thats the brand, but not the exact one that would look good on a G1 TL... they're mostly made for german cars, especially mercedes.

yeah and btw sorry for comin off as an ass. i got my muffler replaced at the dealer and i love it. its quiet at start and not really noticeable under 3k but after that i think it sounds great. im not really the exhaust guru though. if you want a mellow, noticeable yet powerful sound i would go to a muffler shop and ask them. sometimes they have sound clips of what they sound like, but take into consideration that the size of your engine will change the tones slightly compared to a 4 banger or v8

[QUOTE=bigwerm187;10651312]well any one would be fine really because eisenmann mufflers are made for specific german cars mostly so you would have to cut and reweld it either way.

My friend's got a whole cat back just sitting there... . The thing is, the motor also matters in the exhaust note and while it might end up sounding similar, it won't be the same.
