I tried both and the headlights would come on as soon as I reconnected the battery, WITHOUT the headlight switch even being on!

I'd like to get this done so any input is appreciated. Thanks.

You sure did something wrong.

Lets go by numbers--
1> You need something thinner like apaper clip or a small flat screw driver to get it out.

2> Yes leave that wire out of connector/disconnected when you splice it on THICK YELLOW wire.

3> NO.

And make sure you do PART 1 first (fogs into DRL's) and then go to 2nd(fogs with high's ON)

With instructions followed, it is a sure thing. I have not done part 2, yet.

Part 2 is just to terminate the wire that was specified right? Then fogs will turn "ON" even when the high beams are on.

In other words, fogs will turn on when you want it on, regardless of light switches.

Yes, all you have to do is get to the secified wire, cut it and ground the CONNECTOR SIDE of it. And you are done.

Ok, thanks.

But I tried it both ways and it just didn't want to work. Maybe my splice connector was not making a good enough connection?? I'll try another one.

Is it possible that the 2.5 is slightly different then the 3.2 wiring?

Thanks for the speedy replies!

Let me see if I get this right:

1. Take out the panel (using a taped flat screw driver?).

2. Find the left most connector. Pull out.

3. Find the yellow wire with blue strip, cut it. Tape the wire end.

4. The wire left on the connector, add wire and ground it, where did you connect the ground?

Am I right?

Thanks.

^^I don't know. But I'd say go one way only, doing both DRL #1(the other one) and DRL version 2(this one) is gonna mess something up.

If you already have done DRL #1, but still want to this one for some reason, UNDO the other one.

4. when you take the bottom plastic cover off there is metal "plate" there, get a screw and ground it there.

Haha! Thanks man! I would imagine it is the same setup. BUT the blue clip located behind the ignition is GREEN on mine. Still has the thick yellow (power?) wire. Seems all the same.

If you can look into it, I will be forever grateful!

I did the other DRL mod where the lights stay on even if the car is off. I drained my battery twice and dont want to risk stranding myself.

I disconnected that BEFORE I started this mod.

OK I checked some diagrams today and spent some time looking for solution. ONLY 1998 2.5TL is bit different in wiring(its just diff. color). Give me some time so that I can upload wiring diagrams for you guys.

If you guys are having some problem there sure is something not right.

You have to get that RED/BLUE wire and connect it to YELLOW ingnition wire.

And GROUND the other YELLOW/BLUE wire somewhere on chassis.

This is the diagram for IGNITION SWITH and YELLOW wire where you have to connect RED/BLUE wire at..

ONLY 1998 2.5TL HAS SOME DIFFERENT WIRING.

You mean YEL/BLUE. Only the connector side of that wire should be grounded, Use electric tape to cover the other end of wire.

It is just same as 3.2 but don' know whats going on with you guys. It should work. Just double check that you UNDO the other fog mod, and check if you put the wires back like factory setup.

Good Luck.

I know this is the first gen forum but does anyone know if the 2nd gen wiring is the same? I have an '03 TL 3.2. Would love to do this mod. Looking at your pics, I know my fog lights are in a different loaction (low on the bumper rather than next to the headlights.) Makes me wonder if the wiring is different. Thanks in advance.

^It is totally different than 1G TL. You should check 2G TL section, they have alot of usefull stuff in there. I am sure someone can help you out with that.

If you do a search of fog light mod version 2 you should find your answer and if not PM JDM Inspired because he runs his parking lights and fog light 24/7.

I found a few clear Accord side markers, with clip and tab to hold them in place. I am ready to order a set, they are not bad in price, $15 shipped. I am just waiting on our master mechanic sensei tmnhs81 to kick us off....I will definitely write a nice DIY...after I am told how to do it....

I actually did this mod, just as described. The 1st part. From what I can tell, no difference. Red wire (blue stripe) out of its harness to ignition wire (big thick wire), connect and enjoy. Also, some of you should check with your local laws. It is illegal in most states to have more than 4 bulbs (projecting forward) from the front end of your vehicle. When the highs are on, you essentially have four lights on, the lows (left and right) and the second filament of the bulb on (another two lights). With the fogs that would make 6 front facing lights projecting forward. Good luck!
