Smile Wheels offset

I know there is already threads about this but none of my questions were answered in them and they are not getting many hits any more. Will a wheelwith a offset of +42 stick out on a 96' 3.2 TL. I don't want them to stick ouy because I am going to lower the car and Iwant the wheels to tuck under a little bit or at least be flush withthe fender

thanks and sorry about posting another thread like this

I used to have some 17x7s with 45 offset on my 3.2 and they sat too wide in my opinion and rubbed occasionally. I sold those and got some 18x7.5s with 48 offset. They sit slightly inside the fenders and I am very happy with the look. They rub over bumps with the car full of people. I wouldn't get any 7.5" wide wheels with an offset lower than 48.
