The above post was posted on 10/19/05. It is currently 3/18/06 and my car will be hitting 97k in the upcoming week or so. That's probably why I need something that will give me better gas mileage than 19 or so mpg. ('06 Accord or Civic comes to mind)

Had it changed at 105k miles, after reading on this forum that these are "negative clearance" engines that get fried if the timing belt breaks. Am planning to have ours changed again, present mileage ~211k and going strong.

I guess you have the highest milage on this forum! It's good to know our cars can last that long. I'm trying to keep my 96 2.5TL with 112k miles as long as it'll last me

146,000 97 TL - Thought she was going to die on me a few months back but took her to a decent garage and got her thoroughly checked out. Service manager said if you look after your TL, she'll run past 300,000

I was like whoaaaa

Anyways I haven't had my timing belt changed / replaced. How much do these run ?

I love Acura/Honda's... They run forever!!! 900 miles on my car but it's a 3rd gen so it's not fair.
First gen TL'rs... you are the pioneers. My hat goes off.
