What's the skinny on intake systems?
I would like to install a cold air intake in my 98 TL. Any advice, comments, brands?
From just looking under the hood it looks like an easy DIY once I purchase something. I know it won't make you go "wow that's an amazing difference" but will I get some more pep from my acceleration? Thanks TJ |
i think weapon R is about all thats left in the 3.2 world, not sure about the 2.5. you will gain nothing but some sound and some style, and both those things are good. no hp or mpg to speak of, regardless what some may say. $0.02

Thanks jrot. I have been looking at those actually. Is there anything you can do to revive the original get-up-and-go af an older engine? |
Take off/apart the intake manifold and clean out the carbon. Check the tube for the EGR as well.

maint. just keep er' nice. the blocked egr is a good one. not sure if you would get pep from it but your motor might feel happier. as far as getting pep back? no not much, if its losing pep then just baby it till its time runs out. mine has 215k+mi on it and still seems decent to me for how old and heavy and low powered the 3.2 is to begin with. the 2.5on the other hand i have no idea, never even seen one in person haha
