well i brought my acura to the shop

well i found out i gotta leave it for 2 days.. the engine manafold has a crack in it so it has to be replaced and the replacement part come with a transmission manafold as well that part gona cost me $1200. plus they found a hole in the oil pan.... im getting all my belts replaced too. so its gona cost me $1500-2000... what a pain in the ass...


also my right rear speaker blew.... oh well i was gona get new speakers and a head unit anyway....

just one question..... how much should this stuff cost and am i getting ripped off... this is a 96 2.5TL with 75000miles

im not sure but i am pretty sure that you're getting ripped off because the dealerships always charge you more than local tune up shops. so has your car been leaking oil? if not, then obviously you dont need to replace your oil pan..... i need to get a tune up as well!! never had one before and im at 53k on my 97

I just got my tuneup recently on a 98 3.2 tl 60000 mi. I paid 350 for brakes, sparkplugs, oil filter, and air filter. Is there anything else i should change? I dont think timing belts need to be changed until you hit 100k

dang i'm getting up there too, 58k
i hope the dealership doesn't take me as a dumba$$ and charge me for the stupid air filter.

well i got my car back today.... it was a lot of work but wow its quiet and more responsive....... its almost like new..... now i gotta deal with my speakers... my back one blew.. and the stock systems sucks balls

timing belts are part of the biggie 90k service

yeah, they are hella expensive...
i think the water pump has to be replaced too...

Nope the exact same problems happened with me and it would have cost the same thing except my dad took out an extended warranty on the car. Mine was the exhaust manifold and not the transmission though...
