Exclamation Vigor / TL Engine mounts swap?

Hi guys, first let me thank you for spreading your knowledge all over this forum, it's a must for every 1st gen owner. I have a question that I can't find answers to anywhere:

Would it be possible to put the 2 front hydraulic motor mounts of an Acura Vigor, up on a 1st gen Acura 2.5TL? (96/97/98) I know both cars share the same chassis, as well as the same engine, but I'm pretty sure that 2 front mounts are different. I think those on the TL have some kind of small external reservoir attached to them. Appart of that reservoir, they look like the same size, same bolt holes etc. So considering they have the same shape and dimensions, can I put the Vigor mounts on the 2.5TL without screwing up anything? I know that the TL ones are an updated version of the Vigor's, but can the Vigor ones do the job fine..? Anyone already did this or can confirm or clarify?

Thanks in advance guys, much appreciated.

Hmm... Were the front mounts of the Vigor adjustable? IIRC, the 2.5s had mounts that were self-adjusting based on driving style, etc. Chassis wise, I believe that the two are different, but the engine bay is close enough that it might work. Any particular reason you want to use Vigor mounts instead of replacing the 2.5 with factory ones?

Hey thanks for replying. Well I know it's a long shot, but with the front 2.5TL mounts retailing for $700CAN EACH, I tought I might give it a shot since I found some vigor ones at $40 for both..

I think you're right about the auto-ajustable ones on the 2.5 (I read that somewhere else) and that could explain the little reservoir-like thingny.

Here are pictures of the 2.5 OEM ones, followed by the Vigor ones I'm about to buy:

As you can see the everything looks the same except for that little reservoir. Actualy what I'm looking for is a cheap replacement for the 2.5 ones, first because I just can't found them used, and second because I don't have the money to buy some new ones but want to change them ASAP so the vibration related don't harm anything else in the long run.

So all in all, if the Vigor mounts fit right since the chassis/engine are the same on both cars, will the car be driveable even if the mounts don't adjust themself like the newer 2.5 ones?

PS. I know less than 0.0000000000001% of the world population is likely to know the answer to this question, but any input is highly apreciated!

Could be the angle of the photos but they look a bit different. The only thing it seems like you'd have to do is cap the lines for adjusting, and the only difference is that there *won't* be a difference when cruising or driving hard, engine vibrations will be constant.
