Valve Adjustment on 2.5 TL
So my valve cover gasket was leaking and I wanted to get a peak at my t-belt so I figured I'd adjust the valves while I was at it. I checked cyl 3 and 4 and they were both WAY tighter then spec from the Helm. IIRC the Helm had intake at .026 and exhaust at .030 these were closer to .012 and 0.15.
Now here's where it gets dicey... I decided to adjust cyl 1 to spec and it was a major PITA and made me not want to mess with the others. I put it all back together and then I get a pretty good tap from cyl 1 which makes sense since it was considerably larger then it had been despite being in spec. I took it apart again and adjusted them close to where cyl 3 and 4 wehre and now the car has a pretty bad stumble at idle. It almost feels like its missing at idle. The weather is crappy so I cant mess with it again today but I was wondering if anyone had insight into what I have going on here.

Only thing I can say is if this stumble was not present prior to you trying to adjust cyl 1, go back and undo what you have done.
I would not mess with these if I am not really know my stuff.

Iv'e done countless valve adjustments on B18/H22 motors and never have I come across one where every cyl was so far off from the OEM spec. It's surprising to me to so I was hoping someone had come across this before.
Tomorrow I'm going to measure the clearance on a couple cylinders and just adjust #1 back to those specs and cross my fingers.

I was a tool, misread the specs and was adjusting them at .026 and .030 in instead of the .26 and .30mm it should've been. All is good now.
I think this was like the rule of measure twice and cut once
